Positions

• Under (j), UC may receive private donations only when CalCompute sits within UC (SB-53 Gov Code 11546.8).
• Executive Order N-6-26 lists programs that direct “a portion of revenue generated by AI companies” to public good (Executive Order N-6-26).
• ACCESS gives compute “at no cost” (ACCESS homepage).
• Consortium cost. The Government Operations Agency estimated “$2.5 million” for the consortium’s work (SB-53 Assembly Floor analysis 2025-09-08).
